To walk out your door

It takes uncertainty, I know
to walk out your door
and walk through another thatís not yours
Of course, thereís too a course
that other, unfamiliar, shoes use
There are signs and there are signs
not always along the way
There is opportunity
there is stopín waitín see
choices others canít make
Youíll find too, things that go wrong. . . far from the right
Afternoon. . . turns to morning. . . skips to night
There is certain to be a promise. . . a goal. . . a loss
and loveís. . . not yet in the toss
Advice listened, taken and given
Too few things, too many things. . . youíll come to know
It takes certainty
to walk out your door
